No plan for 2021? There’s still time!

Christmas/New Year holidays often give business owners a chance to sit back and relax and consider where their business is going.

The problem is you then go back to work!

Most of us go straight back to the same old routine from last year. The further we get into the new year the further away those thoughts, plans & visions go - don’t worry, we are all guilty of doing the same!

If you did spend some time planning in the new year, please share your ideas with us - we’d love to help you reach your goals this year.

If not, it's never too late.

To make things happen, we actually have to start.

Start to take some time. Start to write down some goals. Start to make some plans.

No need to plan a week-long retreat to analyse every aspect of your life and business, you just need a few hours with a clear head.

Why not set aside a couple of hours on Monday morning or Friday afternoon?

Give yourself permission

Yes, you’re busy with regular work, but pretend it’s a meeting - it’s just as important!

To avoid interruptions, distractions or a poor memory, book your calendar as not available and allow yourself the full hour or two.

It’s an investment the future

Planning is an investment in the future - not just the long-term but short term too. You’d be surprised what some new plans, put into action, can achieve in just a few months.

It’s an investment in the longevity of your business, the security of your staff and in your financial future.

Stop finding excuses

“The business needs me on the tools right now”

“My team are relying on me to deal with all our clients”

“I thought I had finished sorting our the disruptions before Christmas & now suddenly a bunch more appear in 2021 & I don’t have time to look at a plan”

As we said above - give yourself permission - planning is just as important as the other demands on your time.

Think Big

To really reach your potential, it does mean thinking deeper, pushing further and dreaming bigger.

Setting your sights further into the future and reaching further is what creates truly life-changing opportunities – not just “business as usual” or a “little better than last year”.

Seeking and identifying the opportunities for growth is what brings out the passion in us and our clients.

So, do yourself a favour this year and take some time out of your day or week to allow yourself to focus on important business development strategies that will take your business to the next level.
